  1. Hi Annie!
I just started knitting again. Can your yarn be used for that?
    Be well

    • Hi Marcia! How sweet that you’re knitting again! Yes, my yarn is all functional and can be used for knitting — I spin so that the yarn is structurally strong and then I lightly felt it, which makes it even stronger while accentuating the textures and which helps the yarn/cowl/scarf maintain its wonderful qualities even after being washed. My art yarn is all “singles” and not plied, and by design it is thick and thin and has very expressive add-ins here and there. I’ve made scarves and cowls entirely with my hand spun single ply art yarn. Often, art yarn is just used to embellish work: to add interest in part of a cowl or at the sleeves of a sweater or at the ends of a scarf. I’m happy to do custom spinning, I can provide you with details and we could arrange this via email: Thank you for your question and Happy, healthy 2018 to you and yours!
