Making A Rainbow Scarf

If you ask a four year old to help you pick out merino fiber to feed your drum carder so you can spin yarn and crochet a new scarf for her, she’s going to pick a lot of colors — and hand them to you in no particular order to feed the carder…


And if you tell her that you have little white curls from the first haircut of a baby goat, to use in the yarn for her scarf, she’s going to want a LOT of those curly locks spun into the yarn:



And as you spin the yarn, you’ll be so happy with her choices, anticipating the sweet joy of wrapping the scarf around her… (to be continued!)
